P.M.P STAFF MEETING / DEPARTMENT MEETING - 1 1/2 to 2 hours
Provides a general overview of the program, its aims and objectives and classroom implications.
P.M.P 7 HOUR / FULL DAY - 9am to 4pm, 1pm to 8pm or 2pm to 9pm
Covers all aspects of the program: aims and objectives, programming and evaluation, memory training, language and language follow up sessions, floor sessions and techniques, implementation and equipment.
P.M.P 8 HOUR / TWO EVENINGS - 4pm to 8pm or 4.30pm to 8.30pm each evening
Covers all aspects of the program: aims and objectives, programming and evaluation, memory training, language and language follow up sessions, floor sessions and techniques, implementation and equipment. (Not available outside the metropolitan area.)
P.M.P / WORD STUDYCONSULTATION / REVIEW OF PROGRAM
WORD STUDY 2 HOURS
Covers how we spell, a model of spelling production, implications of the model on teaching and learning, requirements of a spelling program.
WORD STUDY 4 HOURS
Covers how we spell, a model of spelling production, implications of the model on teaching and learning, requirements of a spelling program. Introduces the Smart Words Word Study Program.
FOUNDATION SKILLS 2 HOURS
Covers the foundation skills required for reading and spelling in the auditory, visual language and memory skill areas.
DIAGNOSIS OF SPELLING / READING PROBLEMS 2 HOURS
Covers a testing and diagnosis procedure for assisting students with learning difficulties in reading and spelling. Ideas for remediation. Understanding student's learning behaviour.
MEMORY TRAINING 2 HOURS
The place of sequential memory in the learning process. Implications for teaching and learning.
"MESSAGES" 2 HOURS
Behavious as a message about the child's feelings about themselves and their world. Discipline in the light of reading the "messages".
